Meryl Coombs, General Manager

Meryl knows the science and art of successfully growing plants on the prairies. He has worked in the field of horticulture for more than 25 years, starting with a local Calgary garden centre. He held the position as the head gardener on a private estate for 13 years,as well as operating his own Landscape Design & Construction Company. He considers himself fortunate to work in a field he loves.

 

Joanne Dafoe, Senior Designer

Joanne holds an Ontario Diploma in Horticulture with a major in Landscape Design. Prior to joining the Spruce It Up team, she owned her own landscape design and maintenance company for 3 years here in Calgary. Joanne also shares her gardening expertise periodically on the weekly segment on "Let's Talk Gardening" on QR77 from 9 am to 11 am on Sunday Mornings.

 

PATTI HUGHES, Landscape Coordinator

 

Patti received her Ornamental Horticulture diploma, majoring in Landscape Management, from Olds College.  She has spent the last 7yrs exploring various avenues in horticulture and is looking forward to making your landscaping dreams come true.
